Municipal Services

First, the Mayor, Board members, employees and all taxpayers
in our community
would like to give you a warm welcome.

Here are the services you can enjoy on the territory
as well as various informations that you can use in the future.

- See the « Emergency (Fire & Security) » page for information about that subject.

- The 911 (provided by CAUCA 911 Chaudières-Appalaches) is available to the public for emergencies such as fire, accident and the police service;.

- A permit is required for any construction, renovation, demolition, septic installation, drain field, soil analysis, location plan, culvert, etc.  You can get them at themunicipal office by calling 819 560-8444 for an appointment.  Permits may also be issued on Saturday, on request.

- A library service is offered to the population with the cooperation of the village of Scotstown,located at 101, Rue Victoria Ouest, and this service is free for ourtaxpayers.

- The community newspaper « L'ÉVÈNEMENT » that you receive at home can become a useful tool for you to let us know your views.

- We have three (3) places of worship : Église Catholique de St-Paul-de-Scotstown, the Presbyterian Church of St. Paul's and the United Church of St Andrew's.

- Two C.L.S.C. provide the service for Hampden.  One is located in La Patrie at 819 888-2811; the other one is in Cookshire at 819 875-3373.

- There's also a clinic where you can go without an appointment in East-Angus, at 150 Angus South at 819 832-2438.

- The nearest hospitals are the CHUS Fleurimont and the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu in Sherbrooke at 819 346-1110. There is also the «Centre Hospitalier du Granit» in Lac-Mégantic at 819 583-0330.
